Ikolomani vulnerable set for NHIF enrollments

The NG-CDF Ikolomani constituency has begun the process of enrolling vulnerable inhabitants of the constituency to NHIF under the Fund’s Social Security Programme. By the end of this month, at least Ksh. 1.9 Million will be spent to pay premiums for the neediest in Ikolomani. These include persons living with disabilities, needy elderly persons above 60 years, needy widows and widowers, orphans and vulnerable children.

A call for applications to the programme has already been made and the constituency’s Social Security Programme Ad hoc Committee has embarked on vetting and identification of the most vulnerable households and beneficiaries for enrollment.

“We want to show people the benefits of health insurance. We believe this will encourage them to work hard and ensure they pay for their health insurance in the near future,” said Ikolomani MP and NG-CDF Patron Hon. Benard Shinali.

The constituency’s Social Security Programme Ad hoc Committee has incorporated key partners such as Amref, PharmAccess and NHIF to support the successful implementation of the programme in the constituency.
